Disconnect harness assemblies (1) for the lights on both sides of the overhead guard assembly.

Remove four bolts (2) that hold the front cab guard closed. Open the front guard.

Remove bolt (3) from pin retainer (4) and overhead guard (6). Use a hammer and a punch to remove pin (5) from the overhead guard.

Remove cap bolts (7) from overhead guard (6) and install Tooling (A). Attach a suitable lifting device. The overhead guard with the front guard weighs approximately 363 kg (800 lb).

Remove the nuts and the washers from the three remaining bolts (8) in the legs of the overhead guard. Use a hammer and a punch to remove the three remaining bolts that fasten the overhead guard to the platform.
Close the front guard for the cab and install one bolt in order to keep the front guard closed.
Remove the overhead guard.
