Start By:a. remove radiator and hydraulic oil cooler 1. Remove six bolts (6), and remove fan (4) from the adapter. Remove fan guards (2).2. Loosen the tension on two fan belts (1), and remove the fan belts.3. Remove six bolts (5), and remove vibration damper (7) from the hub.4. Loosen bolt (3) until there is a 3.18 mm (.125 in.) gap between the washer and the hub. 5. Install tooling (A) as shown, and loosen the hub from the crankshaft. Remove tooling (A). Remove the bolt, washer (9), pulley (8) and the hub from the crankshaft. The following steps are for installation of the vibration damper and pulley.
The flat side of washer (9) must be installed toward the hub.
6. Position the hub and pulley (8) on the crankshaft, and install washer (9) and bolt (3). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 312 27 N m (231 20 lb.ft.). Hit bolt (3) with a hammer and tighten the bolt again to a torque of 312 27 N m (231 20 lb.ft.).7. Put vibration damper (7) in position on the hub, and install six bolts (5).8. Install two fan belts (1), and tighten them to the correct tension. See the topic, V-Belt Tension Chart in the Specifications Module Form No. SENR2056.9. Position fan guards (2).
