Keep all parts clean from contaminants.
Contamination of the hydraulic system with foreign material will reduce the service life of the hydraulic system components.
To prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic system, always plug or cap the lines, fittings, or hoses as they are disconnected. Cover any disassembled components and clean them properly before assembly.
Clean the hydraulic system propeerly after any major component exchange or especially after a component failure, to remove any contamination.

Illustration 1.
Install coupling flange (2) into position on the flywheel.
Install bolts (1). Tighten the eight bolts (1) to a torque that is specified in Table B in relationship to the machine that you are assembling.

Install hub (3) onto the pump shaft. Hub (3) must be positioned on the shaft in relation to the information given in Table C.
Tighten bolt (4) to a torque that is given in Table C.

In order to install the hub in the right position, assemble the lock ring into the hub before installing the hub to the shaft of the pump.
See Detail (B) in Illustration 2 for a visual reference.

Install Tooling (A) to the main hydraulic pump if the threaded hole is available. If there is no threaded hole, fit a sling around the pump.
Attach lifting device to the sling or to Tooling (A).
Install the main hydraulic pump into the machine. The weight of the pump and pump housing is approximately 220 kg (485 lb).

Install bolts (5). Bolts (5) secure the pump housing to the flywheel housing.
Continue to install the remaining components according to the appropriate Disassembly and Assembly Manual for the machine that is being serviced.
