Previous Caterpillar modules for Monitoring Systems that were configured with harness codes are now serviced by the 252-4503 Electronic Control Module. Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) is used in order to configure the 252-4503 Electronic Control Module with the appropriate machine identification code. Refer to Service Magazine, SEPD0536, 07 August 2000.Install the 265-6874 Software Group when the 252-4503 Electronic Control Module is installed on the small Off Highway Truck serial numbers that are listed above.Note: If the truck is updated with the 265-6874 Software Group, then check the part number for the brake air pressure sensor. If the machine is equipped with a 153-3962 Pressure Sensor Gp, remove the 153-3962 Pressure Sensor Gp. Replace the 153-3962 Pressure Sensor Gp with a 185-0600 Pressure Sensor Gp.
