Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the vibration damper.

The vibration damper is filled with silicone. This substance is very thick and must be removed with a putty knife. Wear gloves in order to avoid skin irritation.

Lay the vibration damper flat. The fill plugs (1) must face upward.
Remove the fill plugs (1), and allow the vibration damper to settle for 8 hours at room temperature.

Remove the bolts that hold the cover (2) to the hub (3) and the ring (4). Remove the cover.

Remove the bearings (5).

Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to the weight (6). The weight of the weight (6) in a narrow vibration damper is 169 kg (376 lb). The weight of the weight (6) in a wide vibration damper is 341 kg (747 lb).
Remove the bearings (7).

Remove the O-ring seal (8) and remove the other O-ring seal (9).

Turn over the hub (3) and the ring (4) on a piece of cardboard.
Remove the bolts that hold the cover (10) to the hub (3). Lift the cover (10) and the ring (4) off the hub (3).

Remove the cover (10) from the ring (4). Remove the O-ring seal.
Remove the O-ring seal (11).
Thoroughly clean all the parts. Inspect the parts for wear or damage.
