Note: If the accessory module is in place and overhead lifting can not be done, install the vibration dampers with the following procedure. The installation procedure is performed from the front of the engine.

Fasten Tool (B) to the vibration damper (2). Fasten a chain from the lift truck to Tool (B) in order to hold the vibration damper and the sleeve on the bottom.
Align the mark for the number one top dead center position on the front crankshaft seal adapter.

This is an Illustration of a single vibration damper.
Carefully maneuver the vibration damper (2) into the correct position on Tool (A).
Install the bolts that hold the vibration damper in place.
Remove Tool (A) and Tool (B). Install the remaining bolts.
Tighten the bolts that hold the vibration damper in place to a torque of 1350 150 N m (1000 110 lb ft). End By:
Install the damper guard group.
