Schematic for the Tilt Lever Position SensorThis diagnostic code is recorded when the implement electronic control module (ECM) determines that the voltage for the tilt lever position sensor is too low. The tilt lever position sensor is a PWM sensor.The possible causes for this diagnostic code are listed:
The harness between the ECM and the sensor has a short to ground.
The sensor has failed.
The + battery circuit has an open.System Response:The machine response is listed:
The tilt function will be disabled until the diagnostic code is cleared. Also, the tilt lever must be recentered.Note: The following test procedure may create other diagnostic codes. Ignore these created diagnostic codes and clear the diagnostic codes when the original diagnostic code is corrected.Note: Ensure that the diagnostic code is active.Test Step 1. CHECK THE SENSOR.
Disconnect the sensor from the harness.Expected Result:The service code is still active.Results:
YES - The sensor is not the cause of the diagnostic code. Proceed to Test Step 2.
