Remove the piston motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Motor (Radiator Fan) - Remove".
Remove the fan guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Guard - Remove and Install".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Open door (1) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to hood (3). The weight of hood (3) is approximately 73 kg (160 lb). Remove bolts (2) and (4). Remove hood (3) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to support assembly (9). The weight of support assembly (9) is approximately 32 kg (70 lb).
Loosen clamps (6). Disconnect hoses (5). Loosen clamps (7). Remove bolts (8) and (10). Loosen clamps (11). Remove bolts (12) .
Remove support assembly (9) .

Remove hose (13) .

Disconnect hose (14). Remove cable straps (15). Position hose (14) aside.
Remove bolts (16). Position plate (17) aside. Remove bolts (18). Position plate (19) aside.

Remove brace (20). Remove brace (21) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A) to spider assembly (22). The weight of spider assembly (22) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A) to fan support assembly (24). The weight of fan support assembly (24) is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Remove bolts (25) for both sides.
Move fan support assembly (24) and spider assembly (22) toward the engine. Remove bolts (23). Separate spider assembly (22) from fan support assembly (24) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to position spider assembly (22) in the shroud. Remove Tooling (A). Remove fan support assembly (24).
Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A) to spider assembly (22). The weight of spider assembly (22) is approximately 43 kg (95 lb). Remove spider assembly (22) .
