This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4699" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the November 30, 1998 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the TERMINATION DATE, Problem, Action Required, and the Service Claim Allowances.

The dump stop may need to be replaced to eliminate cracking around the dump stop and on the inside of the shell. The paddle plate area may also need to be reinforced to eliminate cracking at the wedge welds under the paddle plate. This cracking can cause fatigue to the external welds of the paddle plate on the buckets of certain 992G Wheel Loaders.

1. Order the 1663775 Kit for the Parts Needed to replace the dump stop. For repairing the dump stop assembly, reference Special Instruction REHS0357 for procedures to replace the dump stop.2. Reinforce the paddle plate area. Reference Special Instruction REHS0496 for instructions on reinforcing the paddle plate area.Service Claim Allowances
This is a 50-hour job to replace the dump stop. Reinforcing the paddle plate is a 60-hour job. Remove and install of the bucket is a 10-hour job.
