Note: A " " indicates a short flash of approximately .5 seconds. A "-" indicates a long flash of approximately 1 second.Troubleshooting the Propel Lever
In order to troubleshoot the Propel Lever, perform the following steps.
Turn the key switch ON.
Measure the Propel Lever signal input at the controller between the signal pin "D1" and the ground pin "A3" or measure the Propel Lever signal input between the signal "pin 4" and the ground "pin 5" on the Propel Lever Deutsch connector. The signal varies from a maximum of 4.9 volts to a minimum of .2 volts. If the signal is within this voltage range the Propel Lever may only need to be calibrated.
The maximum forward lever position has a calibration range of 3.9 volts to 4.9 volts. The reverse lever position has a calibration range of .2 volts to .7 volts. If the signal voltage is outside of .2 volts to 4.9 volts, measure the voltage between "pin 3" (power) and "pin 5" (ground) on the Propel Lever connector in order to verify that the 5 volt supply power is correct.
If the 5 volt supply power is correct, turn the key switch OFF in order to verify the wiring harness.
Measure the resistance between "pin 4" at the Propel Lever and pin D1 at the controller. The resistance should be less than 5 ohms.
If the power supply and the harness are correct, replace the Propel Lever.Note: The neutral lever position has a calibration range of 2.2 volts to 2.7 volts. The neutral dead-band is .2 volts. If the lever output is within .2 volts of the neutral calibration voltage the lever is considered to be in neutral.Troubleshooting the Speed Dial
In order to troubleshoot the Speed Dial, perform the following steps.
Turn the key switch ON.
Measure the Speed Dial signal input at the controller between the signal "pin D2" and the ground "pin A3" or measure the Speed Dial signal input between the signal" pin C" and the ground "pin B" on the Speed Dial Deutsch connector. The signal varies from a maximum of 4.9 volts to a minimum of .2 volts. If the signal is within this voltage range the Speed Dial may only need to be calibrated.
The Speed Dial maximum calibration has a range of 3.9 volts to 4.9 volts. The Speed Dial minimum calibration has a range of .2 volts to .7 volts. If the signal voltage is outside of .2 volts to 4.9 volts, measure the voltage between "pin A" (power) and "pin B" (ground) on the Speed Dial connector in order to verify that the 5 volt supply power is correct.
If the 5 volt supply power is correct, turn the key switch OFF in order to verify the wiring harness.
Measure the resistance between "pin C" at the Speed Dial and "pin D2" at the controller. The resistance should be less than 5 ohms.
If the power supply and the harness are correct, replace the Speed Dial.Output Current Fault
The output current fault indicates the initial current has not been calibrated, or
