Remove the torque converter housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Housing - Remove".
If equipped, remove the rear PTO shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Pump Drive - Remove"Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the removal procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to transmission planetary (1). The weight of transmission planetary (1) is approximately 220 kg (485 lb). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to attach transmission planetary (1) to Tooling (B) .
