Use Tooling (C) to remove cylinder (3). The weight of hoist cylinder (3) is approximately 286 kg (630 lb). Remove bearing (8) from the frame assembly.

Cylinders equipped with lock valves can remain pressurized for very long periods of time, even with the hoses removed.Failure to relieve pressure before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder can result in personal injury or death.Ensure all pressure is relieved before removing a lock valve or disassembling a cylinder.
Illustration 8 g01347986 (1) Lubricate the bolts with the lubricant that is being sealed. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 475 50 N m (350 37 lb ft). (2) ( 3) Lubricate the sealing lips with the lubricant that is being sealed. (4) Tighten the head bolts to a torque of 475 50 N m (350 37 lb ft). The rod must be fully extended to tighten bolts.Installation Procedure

Install the retainer to the frame assembly. Install Tooling (D) to the retainer.
Position bearing (8) onto the frame assembly. Use Tooling (E) around bearing (8) to hold bearing (8) in position.

Position the rod end of hoist cylinder (3) onto the machine. The weight of hoist cylinder (3) is approximately 286 kg (630 lb). Slide cylinder (3) over bearing (8).
Remove Tooling (E) from bearing (8). Install Tooling (F) onto Tooling (D). Use Tooling (F) to seat hoist cylinder (3) to the frame assembly. Use the suitable lifting device to lower hoist cylinder (3) onto the rear wheel.

Remove Tooling (D) and Tooling (F). Install cover (7) and bolts (6) to hoist cylinder (3).

Attach Tooling (A) to hoist cylinder (3). Apply Tooling (G) to pin assembly (4). Position cylinder (3) and install pin assembly (4). Install plate (2) and bolts (1). Remove Tooling (A).

Connect hose assemblies (5) to hoist cylinder (3).

Fill the hydraulic tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hoist and Brake Tank Oil - Change". Raise the body assembly or the water tank to remove the suitable blocking.End By:
