Failure to follow established procedures can lead to damage of the parts.To avoid damage to the parts, always identify and mark the parts so that the parts can be installed in the same location.
The alignment of the bellows is important. Improper alignment may lead to premature failure of the bellows. Misalignment can be identified by visually inspecting the convolutions for uniformity of compression.Inspect the bellows for damage prior to installation. If there is any damage to the convolutions, discard the bellows. Minor damage to the ends of the bellows may be repaired. However, if there is any difficulty in installation after the repair, discard the bellows.

Use a suitable lifting device. The weight of the turbocharger is approximately 29 kg (65 lb). Position turbocharger (8) on the engine. Note: Discard the nuts after use. Use new nuts for installation.
Apply Tooling (A) to three studs (11). Install three studs (11) on the exhaust manifold and tighten studs (11) to a torque of 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft). Stud (Z) is installed on the turbocharger. Apply Tooling (A) to Stud (Z). Install Stud (Z) on the turbocharger and tighten Stud (Z) to a torque of 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft). Install nuts (1) and tighten nuts (1) to a torque of 70 5 N m (52 4 lb ft). Note: Install the studs so that the letter "X" is visible.
Connect oil supply tube assembly (9) and oil drain tube assembly (10).
Install elbow (5) and elbow (6).
Install clamp (7). Tighten clamp (7) to a torque of 12 1 N m (106 9 lb in).
Install clamp (4). Tighten clamp (4) to a torque of 12 1 N m (106 9 lb in).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the stud of clamp (3).
Position clamp (3) on bellows.
Tighten clamp (3). Tighten clamp (3) to a torque of 12 1 N m (106 9 lb in).
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the stud of clamp (2).
Position clamp (2) on bellows.
Tighten clamp (2). Tighten clamp (2) to a torque of 12 1 N m (106 9 lb in).
