Grind welds and blend welds. Finish weld back reinforcement plate (2) to the main beam. Apply the welds in sequence. Apply weld (W13) first. Then apply weld (W14). Continue in sequence until all welds have been applied.

Grind welds and blend welds. Finish weld bottom reinforcement plate (3) and bottom reinforcement plate (4) to the main beam. Use three passes to complete the 10 mm (0.4 inch) fillet welds (W16).

Use the template to locate the bosses and the blocks. Weld the bosses. Use 6 mm (0.24 inch) fillet welds to weld the blocks and bosses to the main beam. Weld along the long side of the blocks.

After all welding is complete, apply Tooling (F) to the edges of the internal baffle. The internal baffle is located through the hole for the exhaust inlet, inside the crossbeam, and on the side of the machine with the cab.
Paint the affected areas.
Reassemble all components that were removed.
Lower the truck body and adjust the shims for the rocker assemblies.Worksheets
