Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Install new O-ring seals on the six plugs. Install the six plugs in the inlet manifold.
Install air temperature sensor (3) in inlet manifold (9) .
Install the wiring harness to the inlet manifold with new wire straps. Attach the wiring harness connector to the engine inlet manifold with tool (A). Tighten the screw to a torque of 9 .1 N m (79 1 lb in).Note: Do not overtighten the screw.
Install engine inlet manifold (9) to the cylinder head assembly with a new gasket and 18 bolts (4) .
Install six wiring harness connectors (2) to the fuel injector pumps.
Connect tube assembly (6) to inlet manifold (9) .
Secure the wiring harness to the engine with new straps (8) .
Install injection actuation pressure sensor (7) to the engine.
Install the wiring harness connectors to the two speed-timing sensors.
Connect coolant temperature sensor (1) to the wiring harness. Use new straps and secure the coolant temperature sensor to inlet manifold (9) .End By:
Install the air inlet heater solenoid. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Inlet Heater Solenoid - Remove and Install".
Install the air inlet heater. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Air Inlet Heater - Remove and Install".
Install the rocker arm assemblies and pushrods. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Rocker Shaft and Pushrod - Install".
