Disassembly and Assembly, RENR8667, "Differential and Bevel Gear - Assemble"Description of Change: The new high strength bolts replaced the former bolts that are now used to assemble the spiral bevel gear to the differential case in the front and rear axles.Adaptable To: The new 282-0945 Bolts replace the former 219-7569 Bolts. Install four new bolts and new washers that are equally spaced. Tighten the four bolts between 70 N m (50 lb ft) and 100 N m (75 lb ft). Make sure that the bevel gear is properly seated to the case assembly. Loosely install 20 new bolts and new washers. After the bevel gear has cooled to 50 °C (120 °F) or less, loosen the four tightened bolts. Follow an alternating sequence and mark each bolt as the bolts are tightened. Tighten the 24 bolts to the following torque 130 10 N m (95 7 lb ft). After the bolts have been properly torqued, turn the bolts to an additional turn of 120° 10°.This change is effective with the following machines.
