Schematic of the Left Drive Pump Reverse Control SolenoidThis diagnostic code is associated with the Left Drive Pump Reverse Control Solenoid. The FMI 03 means that the Machine ECM has detected that the voltage of the solenoid circuit is above normal or that the ECM has detected voltage in the circuit when no voltage should be present.Note: The Machine ECM is located inside the Center Console.Conditions that could cause this diagnostic code to be activated are:
The energize circuit of the solenoid is shorted to another voltage source.
The ECM has failed. This situation is unlikely.Note: Before performing this procedure, inspect the harness connectors that are involved in the circuit. Poor connections can often be the cause of a problem in an electrical circuit. Verify that all connections in the circuit are clean, secure, and in good condition. If a problem with a connection is found, correct the problem and verify that this diagnostic code is active before performing this procedure. Note: The following test procedure may create other diagnostic codes. Ignore these created diagnostic codes and clear these diagnostic codes when the original diagnostic code has been corrected. System Response:When this diagnostic code is active, the following occurs:
Machine may experience a sharp, sudden turn.
The engine will automatically shut down.
Machine will be disabled until the fault is corrected.
The alarm horn is active.
Operator station fault lamp is active.
The following pop-up message shows on graphical display: "Left reverse propel solenoid is faulted. Machine will not propel until fault has been fixed."Test Step 1. CHECK THE ENERGIZE CIRCUIT OF THE SOLENOID FOR A SHORT
