Rework Procedure
Note: THIS JOB REQUIRES TWO TECHNICIANS AS HOSE ORIENTATIONS NEED TO BE MAINTAINED DURING THE RE-WORK
Note: Please refer to Image 1.6.1 for complete diagram of rework procedure.
Note: Hoses in Image 1.11.1 colored green are on the left hand side of the machine. Hoses colored purple are on the right hand side of machine.
General Torque Note: If fitting is not leaking, but is found loose during inspection loosen nut enough to spray 1-2 drops of oil behind nut, and tighten to a torque of 80 +8/-0 Nm.
1. Remove 238-2870, and 238-2872 sheet assembly on left hand side of machine. Remove washer bottle from bracket. See Image 1.2.1

2. Articulate machine to the left. Check clearance between return hose 262-5659 (from the manifold) and the stack of fittings coming off the right steering cylinder. There should not be any interference with the 262-5659 Hose, 284-6994 Hose, or 148-8444 Tee. Orientation and adjustments can be made at the 148-8444 Tee, and 148-8365 Elbow.
3. After proper orientation, tech 1 to torque 90 degree end of hose 258-7159 (see Image 1.4.1) going into 148-4888 tee, using a 20 mm back up wrench on tee (see Image 1.4.2). Tech 2 to hold straight end of hose from left side of machine to prevent movement.

4. Move to left hand side of machine
5. Tighten 115-8427 Hose through opening between frame and cab (with shroud removed), using a 20 mm back up wrench to hold tee in position while hose is torqued. Orient 284-6993 Hose so that it does not contact the 242-0265 Return Manifold. Hold in place and use a back up wrench on 148-4888 Tee, and tighten 284-6993 Hose (see Image 1.5.1).

6. When machine is articulated, hoses and fittings from the steering cylinder should not contact the manifold.
7. Run machine to check for leaks. Replace shrouds, and washer bottle. Tighten bolts to a torque of 55 +/- 5 Nm.
