Rotate the transmission control switch to the desired gear.Place the switch in NEUTRAL (4) in order to put the transmission in NEUTRAL. Place the switch in FIRST GEAR (1) for low speed range. Use the gear in order to climb and descend slopes, compaction of asphalt, and compaction of thick soil.Place the switch in SECOND GEAR (2) for intermediate speed range. Use this gear for most applications of compaction.Place the switch in THIRD GEAR (3) for high speed range. Use this gear for machine roading only.Note: You should select a low gear range only when the machine is stopped in order to prevent damage to the asphalt. Also, this will increase the life of the drive train.
