Cab Door Latch - Inspect
Crushing Hazard. Ensure that the engine start switch is in the OFF position, and that the parking brake is engaged before entering the articulation area. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.

Inspect door latch and striker (1) for wear.
Close the cab door.
Check dimension (A). Ensure striker (1) overlaps door frame by 15 5 mm (0.59 0.19 inch).

If striker (1) does not meet dimension (A), remove cover (2). Refer to "Disassembly and Assembly", Door Handle and Latch - Remove and Install.

Inspect set screw (3) and bolt (4) for security.
If set screw (3) or bolt (4) is loose, repair the door latch before the machine is returned to service.
Inspect spring (5) for damage, replace as required.
Install cover (2).
