LOWER Operation with Engine OFF
Lift cylinders (4) may still be operated when the engine is OFF. When the front of the machine is off of the ground, there is pressure on the rod end of the lift cylinders. Pressure is applied against attachment valve (27) .When the lift control lever is moved past the LOWER position to the FLOAT detent position, the vent passage in lift and tilt pilot valve (9) is open to the tank. The pressure in the rod end of the lift cylinders pushes check valve (8) downward. This allows oil from the rod end of the lift cylinders to pass through the vent passage of lift and tilt pilot valve (9) and the oil returns to hydraulic tank (11). The weight of the machine causes the front of the machine to lower to the ground.When the bucket is off the ground, there is pressure on the head end of the lift cylinders. When the lift control lever is moved past the LOWER position to the FLOAT detent position, the vent passage in lift and tilt pilot valve (9) is open to the tank. The pressure in the head end of the lift cylinders pushes check valve (8) upward and the pressure is released.
