Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. All disassembly and all assembly procedures must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean hydraulic area. Keep cleaned parts covered and protected at all times.Note: Lubricate all components with the lubricant that is being sealed before assembly.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Install O-ring seal (3) (not shown) on the transmission hydraulic control relief valve.
Position transmission hydraulic control relief valve (1) and install bolts (2) .
Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 lb ft).
