4 1 124-2377 Lip Type Seal Lubricate the sealing lip lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
5 1 172-5093 Duo-Cone Seal Gp At assembly, rubber toric seals must be clean and dry and all surfaces that contact rubber toric seals must be clean and dry. Immediately before installation, apply a thin layer of oil on the surfaces of the metal seals that contact the rubber toric seals. The seal must be assembled square with the bore. Rubber toric seals must not have bulged and these seals must also not have twisted.
A - - Gap of 0.08 0.05 mm (0.003 0.002 inch) will ensure the metal to metal clamp - up between the shaft and the retainer. Check this gap before bolting the retainer to the shaft. After the retainers are bolted, make sure that the gears can turn freely. Drive the retainers toward the carrier with the proper tooling If the gears cannot turn freely.
B - - Maintain a gap of 0.08 0.05 mm (0.003 0.002 inch) in order to ensure the metal to metal clamp-up between the spindle and the retainer during assembly .
6 1 110-2653 Bushing Inside diameter is 103.25 0.08 mm (4.065 0.003 inch).
7 32 7T-1243 Bolt Apply Loctite C5-A Copper Anti-Seize or an equivalent on the threads. Tighten the sprocket segment bolts to the torque of 870 70 N m (642 52 lb ft).
The bolts should be tightened an additional 120 5 degrees after the torque has been reached.
8 16 030-7335 Locking Bolt Torque to 270 40 N m (199 30 lb ft).
