Location of dimensions for marks on oil level gauge.3. Put marks on the 4N4542 Gauge at dimensions "X" and "Y" as shown in the chart. Be sure to use the correct dimensions shown for the specific tilt angle, and for the correct gauge location (RH or LH) as seen from the rear of the engine. The mark at dimension "X" is the "FULL" mark, and the mark at dimension "Y" is the "ADD" mark as shown.4. Install the oil level gauge and fill the engine crankcase with fourteen quarts (13.24 liters) of the correct grade and type of oil as shown in the guide sent with the engine from the factory.5. Start the engine and run until the engine temperature is normal, then stop the engine.6. After an interval of not less than ten minutes, check the oil level. If the oil level is not at the "FULL" mark, check the dimensions used and, if necessary, the engine tilt angle.
