Use Tooling (F) and a ratcheting wrench to turn the camshafts until the locking pins can be engaged.Note: The engine rotates counterclockwise if you are looking at the flywheel.

Install locking pin (68) and (69) .

Remove bolt (72) (not shown), the washer, and ring (73) .
Use Tooling (E) (not shown) to remove gear (74) .

Repeat Steps 46 and 47 for bolt (75), ring (76), and gear (77) at the remaining camshaft.

Loosen bolts (78) by approximately 25 mm (1.0 inch).
Remove bolts (78) that are opposite each other. Replace the bolts with Tooling (D) .
Use Tooling (B) (not shown) and a suitable lifting device to support the weight of flywheel (79). The flywheel weighs approximately 140 kg (309 lb).
Remove the remainder of bolts (78). Slide flywheel (76) on the guide bolts.

Use Tooling (B) and a suitable hoist to support the weight of flywheel housing (80). The flywheel housing weighs approximately 310 kg (683 lb).

Note: When the crankshaft seal is separated from the wear sleeve, a new sleeve and a new seal must be installed as a unit. The seal will be damaged if the original seal and the original wear ring are used again.
