Auger Updates for SR17, SR18 and SR21 Snow Blowers:

Remove the Auger Assembly
In order to access the fittings for the augermotor, remove the guard located on the left side of the snow blower. Retainthe screw.
Disconnect the two hydraulic lines from the augermotor.
Remove the four nuts and bolts that secure theauger assembly on each side of the snow blower.
Remove the auger assembly with the hydraulic motorand the support assembly.
Loosen the two setscrews on the 4-bolt flangebearing and remove the flange bearing from the auger shaft. Remove the2209978 Washer from the auger shaft.
Slide the auger motor off the auger.
Place the auger motor on to the new auger (1).
Place the 2209978 Washer on the end (right side)of the new auger (1).
Place the flange bearing on the new auger (1).Tighten the two setscrews. Tighten each setscrew to a torque of 15 1 ft-lbs.
Note: Apply a drop of red Loctite (2) toeach setscrew before tightening.
Install the Auger Assembly
Place the auger assembly into position. Alignthe four boltholes in the flange bearings to the holes in the frame (rightside). Align the four boltholes in the support assembly with the holesin the frame (left side).
Secure the auger assembly and the hydraulic line.Use four bolts and nuts on each side. Tighten each bolt to a torque of80 10 ft-lbs.
Reconnect the hydraulic lines.
Reinstall the hydraulic line cover.
