Removal Procedure
Drain the engine oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal.

Remove guard assemblies (1).

Remove dip stick (2).
Illustration 3 g02440319Note: Mark the location for each of bolts (5). The bolts are not all the same length.
Remove hose assembly (3), harness assembly (4), bolts (5), oil pan (6), and the gasket.

Remove bolts (7) and spacer (8).Installation Procedure

Install spacer (8) and bolts (7).

Install Tooling (A) in Locations (X). Install the gasket and oil pan (6).

Install bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) in the sequence shown, to a torque of 22 N m (195 lb in).
Remove Tooling (A). Install the remainder of bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) in the sequence shown, to a torque of 22 N m (195 lb in).

Install hose assembly (3) and harness assembly (4).

Apply Tooling (B) to the nut and install dip stick (2).

Fill the engine oil. Refer to Operations and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.
