3406C (4CK) Truck EnginesDescription of Change: A new improved piston body is used in the above truck engines. The new piston body has improved retention of the iron band (ring carrier) to the aluminum body. This will help prevent separation of the iron band from the aluminum body. Adaptable To: The new 113-6045 Piston Body Assembly is a direct replacement for the former 7E-0489 Piston Body Assembly. The former piston body assembly is canceled. The new 113-6045 Piston Body Assembly is in effect with 3406C Truck Engine 4CK24193. If a former 7E-0489 Piston Body Assembly fails due to a separation between the iron band and the aluminum body, replace all six pistons with new 113-6045 Piston Body Assemblies.The new piston body assembly is adaptable to the 460 hp arrangements of 3406B/C Truck Engines 5YG1-Up, 2EK1-Up, 4CK1-24192.
