Removal Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Inspect all O-rings, seals, and gaskets for wear and damage. Replace if necessary.

Remove four bolts (2) and clamp (3).
Remove elbow (3) and adapter (1).

Remove water temperature regulator (5).

Remove four bolts (6) and tube (7).

Remove three bolts (9) and housing (8).Installation Procedure
Inspect all O-rings, seals, and gaskets for wear and damage. Replace if necessary.
Install water temperature regulator and housing in reverse order of removal.
Clamp (4) is to be installed according to the orientation shown.
Position clamp (4) and hand tighten to tube.
Tighten clamp (4) to elbow.
Tighten clamp (4) to tube.
