1. Remove four bolts (3) and remove bracket (1). 2. Remove charge pumps (2) from the steering pump. The weight of the charge pumps (2) in 18 Kg (40 lbs.).3. Remove coupler (5) from charge pumps (2). Remove O-ring seal (4) from the charge pumps. The following steps are for installation of the charge pumps.4. Install O-ring seal (4) on charge pumps (2).5. Install coupler (5) on the shaft of charge pumps (2).6. Install charge pumps (2) on the steering pump.7. Install bracket (1) and four bolts (3).End By:a. install steering pumpDisassemble Charge Pumps
Start By:a. remove charge pumps 1. Remove bolts (4), and separate lube pump (3) from lube pump (2). 2. Remove coupling (6) from lube pump (3).3. Remove two bolts (1), and remove covers (5) and (7) from lube pump (3). 4. Remove seal (9) from both sides of lube pump (3).5. Remove four bushings (10) and two gears (8) as a unit from lube pump (3).6. Remove back-up rings (12) and O-ring seals (13) from bushings (10).7. Remove bushings (10) from gears (8).8. Separate the bushings, and remove dowels (11). 9. Remove three bolts (15), and separate lube pump (2) from steering charge pump (14). 10. Remove two bolts (17), and remove covers (16) and (18) from lube pump (2). 11. Remove seal (19) from cover (18).12. Remove washer (21), the snap ring and seal (20) from cover (18). 13. Remove O-ring seal (22) from cover (16). 14. Remove seal (23) from both sides of lube pump (2).15. Remove four bushings (24) and two gears (25) from lube pump (2).16. Remove the back-up rings and O-ring seals from both sets of bushings.17. Remove the bushing sets from the gears.18. Separate the bushings, and remove the dowels. 19. Remove coupling (28) from steering charge pump (14).20. Remove snap ring (27), and remove the seal from cover (33).21. Remove four bolts (26), and remove covers (29) and (33) from the steering charge pump.22. Remove seal (30) from both sides of steering charge pump (14).23. Remove four bushings (32) and two gears (31) from the steering charge pump.24. Remove the back-up rings and O-ring seals from both sets of bushings.25. Remove the bushing sets from the gears.26. Separate the bushings, and remove the dowels. 27. Remove snap ring (34), and remove two seals (35) from cover (29).Assemble Charge Pumps
Clean and inspect all parts. Replace all parts that are damaged or worn. Put clean oil on all of the internal parts of the pumps. 1. Position two seals (35) in cover (29), and install snap ring (34). 2. Install dowels (36) in two bushings (32), and position the remaining bushing on the dowels.3. Install the bushing sets on gears (31).4. Install back-up ring (37) and O-ring seal (38) on both sets of bushings.5. Install the bushing sets and gears in steering charge pump (14).6. Install seal (30) in both sides of the steering charge pump.7. Position covers (29) and (33) on steering charge pump (14). 8. Install four bolts
