Remove Fuel Injection Pump And Governor Drive
START BY:a) remove automatic timing advanceb) remove fuel injection pump housing and governorc) remove fuel transfer pumpd) remove service meter 1. Remove four bolts (1) and the retainer that hold the fuel injection pump and governor drive to the timing gear plate. 2. Remove injection pump and governor drive (2) and the gasket from the front cover.Install Fuel Injection Pump And Governor Drive
1. Clean the contact surfaces of the fuel injection pump and governor drive and the front cover.2. Install a new gasket between the fuel injection pump and governor drive and the front cover. 3. Put the injection pump and governor drive (1) in position in the timing gear. 4. START BY:a) remove fuel injection pump and governor drive 1. Remove the shaft (2) from housing (1). 2. Remove O-ring seal (3) and retainer ring (4) from shaft (2). 3. Use a press and tool (A) to remove bearing (5) from the shaft.Assemble Fuel Injection Pump And Governor Drive
1. Heat bearing (2) to 135°C (275°F) and install on it shaft (1). Install the bearing until it makes contact with the shoulder on the shaft. 2. Install retainer ring (3) that holds the bearing on the shaft. Install the O-ring seal on the shaft. 3.
