Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Remove".

Remove nuts (2).
Remove exhaust elbow (3) from exhaust manifold (1).
Remove gasket (5) (not shown) from the exhaust manifold.
If necessary, remove studs (4) from exhaust elbow (3). Installation Procedure

Ensure that exhaust manifold (1) and exhaust elbow (3) are clean and free from damage.
If necessary, install studs (4) to exhaust elbow (3). Tighten the studs to a torque of 18 N m (13 lb ft).
Position a new gasket onto exhaust manifold (1).
Install exhaust elbow (3) onto exhaust manifold (1).
Install nut (2) to the exhaust manifold. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 44 N m (32 lb ft). End By:
Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
