Information:
Secure the blade tip cylinder (G) safely out of the way. Use a strap or chain (H) to prevent the blade tip cylinder from falling when the front blade tip cylinder pin is disconnected. Remove bolt (J) then remove pin (K) to disconnect the blade tip cylinder from the moldboard bracket (L). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6018, "Blade Tip Cylinder - Remove and Install" for information regarding the existing blade tip cylinder. Retain the pin and bolt for reassembly.

Remove one cotter pin (M), one castle nut (N), and two washers (P) from each pin (R). Disassemble the end of pin (R) that is toward the centerline of the machine.
When removing pin (R) from the joint, remove shims (S) and discard.

Remove bracket assembly (C) from blade beam (E) by removing pin (R). Retain this hardware except the cotter pins for reuse in assembly. Remove and discard the old moldboard bracket, cotter pins, moldboard wear strips, and moldboard wear strip adjustment hardware.Rework of Bracket Assembly

View from the outside and from the inside of the left end of bracket assembly (5) .
Prepare new bracket assembly (5) for assembly onto the machine. Press one new bushing (8) into new bracket assembly (5) from the outside. Then press one new bushing (8) into new bracket assembly (5) from the inside. Perform this procedure on the other end of new bracket assembly (5). The sleeve bearings must be flush with the outer edges of the bore.

Place bracket assembly (5) on two blocks (D) .
Illustration 9 g03784184
Attach new bracket assembly (5) at both ends. Use the pivot hardware retained from the disassembly process and new shims (10) as required.
Insert shims (10) as required. Shims (10) take up the gap between the circle blade beam (E) and the outside surface of new bracket assembly (5). Perform this step on both ends of circle blade beam (E). A sliding fit should be achieved with a maximum gap of 1.8 mm (0.07 inch) per side.
Tighten the nuts (N) to remove gaps between the nuts, washers, and abutment surface of the washers.
Back off nut (N) a maximum of one slot to allow for the insertion of new cotter pin (13) .
Illustration 10 g03784192
Pivot new bracket assembly (5) upwards and connect tip cylinder (G). Insert retained pin (K) to secure new bracket assembly (5). Secure pin (K) using bolt and washer (J) that were retained from the disassembly process.Reassembly of Machine
Install the blade as shown below. Refer to the Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6018, "Blade - Remove and Install" for additional information.
