General Description
The sidecutter is a hydraulically actuated disk on an arm used to cut, or compact, an edge on the mat. The sidecutter system shares a common hydraulic tank with
the propel system
the steering system
the fan system.The steering pump provides the oil to operate the sidecutter system.

The red and blue lines indicate two-way communication.Machine ECM (1) monitors input signals from propel lever (3) to determine the status of the sidecutter control switches.Machine ECM (1) evaluates the input signals and determines if any output signals should be sent to options ECM (2). The options ECM relays the signals to sidecutter up solenoid (8) and sidecutter down solenoid (9).Machine ECM (1) evaluates signals to establish the status of the machine spray system. From this information, the machine ECM determines if sidecutter spray solenoid (7) and/or tire water spray solenoid (4) should be energized.Note: The tire water spray solenoid is only installed when the sidecutter option is installed. This solenoid allows for independent functionality of the sidecutter spray and main water spray systems.For sidecutter spray, machine ECM (1) sends a signal to control water pump relay (5).
