start by:a) remove engine and transmission (3F/1R) **This operation location is in POWER TRAIN, DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY section. 1. Remove back-up warning alarm (1) from the transmission.2. Disconnect wires (6). Remove clip (2) and push wire harness (3) clear of the transmission.3. Remove oil line (4) from the transmission.4. Remove ground strap (5).5. Remove torque converter oil cooler lines (7) the transmission case. 6. Install a 5/16"-18 NC forged eyebolt (9) in the transmission. Install tooling (A). Fasten a hoist to tooling (A). Fasten tool (B) to eyebolt (9) and the hoist.7. Remove bolts (10) that hold the transmission to the flywheel housing. Remove transmission (8). The weight is 450 lb. (203 kg).Connection Of Engine And Transmission (3F/1R)
1. Inspect O-ring seal (3) for damage and make a replacement if needed. Install O-ring seal (3).2. Install tool (A) as shown. Install a 5/16"-18 NC forged eyebolt (2) in the transmission. Fasten a hoist to tool (A). Install tool (B).3. Make sure the external teeth of the torque converter are in correct engagement with the internal teeth of the flywheel and install transmission (1) against the flywheel housing.4. Install the bolts that hold the transmission to the flywheel housing. 5. Install torque converter oil cooler lines (9).6. Install ground strap (8).7. Install oil line (7) to the transmission.8. Put wire harness (5) in place and connect wires (10). Install clip (4).9.
