Remove cover (29), thrust washer (30), and side gear (32). Use a suitable punch and a hammer in order to drive out locking pins (31). Remove planetary shafts (33).

Remove bolts (40) and remove brake assembly (39) as a unit. Straighten the locking tab from nut (41).

Use Tooling (C) in order to hold brake disc (42) and remove nut (41) (not shown).

Tap the end of pinion shaft (46) with a soft hammer in order to remove pinion shaft (46) from the center housing.

Remove bearing cone (48), washers (49), and collapsible spacer (47) from pinion shaft (46). Discard collapsible spacer (47).

Use Tooling (D) and a suitable press in order to remove bearing cone (50) from pinion shaft (46). Remove the shim that is positioned under bearing cone (50). Check the shim for wear. If necessary, replace the shim.

Remove bolts (51), cover (52), O-ring seal (53), spring (54), and washer (56) from the center housing.
Remove rod (55) from fork (58). Remove retaining ring (57) from rod (55). Remove fork (58) from the center housing.

Use a suitable hammer and a punch in order to remove bearing cups (67) from the center housing.
