Disconnect electrical connector (9) .

Disconnect electrical connector (10) from starting aid.

Cut wire ties for starting aid wiring harness (11). Place the wiring harness (11) aside.

Remove bolt (12) and the clamp from the right side of the engine enclosure.

Disconnect starting aid line (13) .

Disconnect hose assembly (14) from the quick oil change.

Remove two bolts (16) from each end and remove handhold (15) .

Remove bolt (19) .
Remove two bolts (18) from each end and remove handhold (17) .

Attach Tooling (A) to the engine enclosure, as shown.

Attach a suitable hoist and lifting slings to Tooling (A) .

Remove three bolts (20) from the front lower panel.

Remove two bolts (21). Repeat this procedure for the opposite side.

Remove upper rear mounting bolts (22) from each side.

Remove lower mounting bolts and nuts (23) from each side.Note: Prior to the removal of the hood and engine enclosure, make sure that all hose assemblies, all tube assemblies and all wires have been disconnected. Also ensure that all necessary bolts have been removed.

Use the hoist in order to remove hood and engine enclosure (24). The weight of hood and engine enclosure (24) is 227 kg (500 lb).
