The small Excavators and the medium Excavators have had rust on the door and cover edges, frame, tank, hoses, exhaust, steps, and mirror support. These failures do not affect the performances of the machine, but this rust is visible. The rust does not show a good quality image of the machine.Solution
A temporary fix for machines in the field is to sand and paint the areas of the machine that are affected by the rust. The manufacturing facility has implemented a new painting method for some parts. The manufacturing facility is sealing around the blocks on the front of the implement. See Illustration 1. In addition, new painting equipment will be implemented for some parts.
