1. Drain the oil from the rear brake master cylinder.2. Disconnect two lines (2) and (3) from slack adjuster (1). Disconnect hose (5) from the slack adjuster.3. Remove two bolts (4) and the slack adjuster.4. Put slack adjuster (1) in position, and install two bolts (4) to hold it.5. Connect lines (2), (3) and hose (5) to the slack adjuster.6. Remove the air from (bleed) the brake system. See Testing And Adjusting.Disassemble And Assemble Slack Adjuster
START BY:a. remove slack adjuster
There is spring pressure behind housings (1) and (7).
1. Remove housing (1) from base (6).2. Remove spring (3).3. Remove piston (5) from housing (1).4. Follow Steps 1 through 3 for the other side (7) of the slack adjuster.5. Make a replacement of O-ring seals (2) and (4) if worn and damaged.6. Install piston (5) in housing (1).7. Put spring (3) in position on piston (5).8. Install the housing on base (6).9. Follow Steps 5 through 8 for the other side (7) of the slack adjuster.END BY:a. install slack adjuster
