Connect attachment chain (4) to the fork carriage on lift truck (9). Make sure that the chain is snug and does not interfere with lift truck lifting/lowering operation.
Improper connection of the attachment chain can damage tooling and/or lift truck components. Make sure that placement of the chain does not interfere with movement of the lift/lower mechanism on the lift truck.

(1) Support Bracket Assembly (9) Lift Truck (10) Front Suspension Strut (11) Spindle
Use lift truck (9) to lift support bracket assembly (1), front suspension strut (10), and spindle (11) into position on the machine.
Refer to appropriate disassembly/assembly service manual procedure to install hardware and attach suspension strut to frame of machine.

Once the front suspension strut is installed on the machine, remove hardware (dealer supplied) connecting bracket assemblies (2) and (3) to spindle (11) .

Use lift truck (9) to lower support bracket assembly (1) and move away from the machine.Inspection/Cleaning Section
Inspection
Inspect prior to each use for nicks, burrs, dents, cracks, bends, or worn parts. If damage is found, discontinue use until inspected and released for use by an approved inspector at the dealership.

Inspect all welds and check for damaged or bent components.
Inspect threads in support bracket assembly (1) .
Inspect 1D-4709 Bolts (5) and 5P-8250 Washers (6). Replace any worn or damaged hardware.
Do not use unless load identification markings on support bracket assembly (1) are legible.

Do not use if attachment chain (4) is damaged or missing.

Do not use if either pivot lock pin assembly (8) is damaged or missing.
Have tools inspected annually by an approved dealership inspector.Cleaning
Clean the tooling using a non-solvent based cleaner.Storage
Store tooling indoors in a clean, dry location to prevent rust or corrosion.
Store the tool on level ground, laying flat to prevent falling.Tool Disposal
