Entering the machines serial number will not always give the compatible configuration file for the flash file used on the VIMS platform.Note: When searching for the latest production software in SIS web, in the flash software download page, click the "VIMS software & Current Releases" Link. This will bring up the "DEALER.CAT.COM" web page. Under related links, click "VIMS 3G production software compatibility matrix". The VIMS3G production flash file and production configuration compatibility matrix will pop up. Search for the correct software files for a specific machine type.Note: Before using communications adapter 3 (CA3), make sure that the PC drivers and CA3 firmware have been updated.Note: Use the latest version of Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) for the optimal machine software support.
