Unequal wheel speed can result in drive line torque wind up which can cause drive line components to unload during disassembly. This can result in personal injury. Relieve the drive line torque wind-up before disassembly.
1. Remove bolt (1), the retaining plate and the O-ring seal. Remove yoke and dirt guard (2). Remove yoke and dirt guard (4).2. Remove six bolts (5) that hold carrier bearing (3) to the oscillation housing. 3. Disconnect grease line (7) from carrier bearing (3).4. Remove drive shaft (6) and carrier bearing (3) approximately one third through the oscillation housing by pulling the shaft towards the rear of the machine.5. Attach a hoist and a suitable lifting sling to drive shaft (6). Remove drive shaft (6) and carrier assembly (3) from the oscillation housing and lower to the ground. The combined weight of the drive shaft and carrier assembly is 54 kg (119 lb).
