Introduction
The following information explains the testing procedure for the generator belt alignment. Do not proceed until you have read and understand all of the steps required to complete this service.Test Preparation
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move travel direction switch (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate propulsion speed dial (2) counterclockwise to the MINIMUM position.

Move parking brake lever (3) to the ON position.

Move throttle control lever (4) to the LOW-IDLE position.

Move lock (5) out of the way, and move screed lift lever (6) into the (FLOAT) position. Lower the screed to the ground.

Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.

Remove four bolts (12), and remove hopper door (13).

Remove four bolts (14) and washers (three shown), and remove side panel (15).

Unlock latch (17), and open left side compartment (16).

Use straight edge (19) in order to check the alignment of bottom pulley (20) on the generator to pulley (18) on the engine. Pulley (20) should align with the plane of pulley (18). If the two pulleys are properly aligned, jump to Step 16. If the two pulleys are not properly aligned, proceed with Step 12.

Loosen bolt (21) and nut. Do not remove the bolt or the nut.
Loosen bolt (22). Do not remove the bolt.

Loosen bolt (23). Do not remove the bolt.
Move the generator support in order to obtain the correct alignment between bottom pulley (20) on the generator and pulley (18) on the engine. Tighten the nut on bolt (21). Tighten bolt (22) and bolt (23).
Position hopper door (17) in place, and install four bolts (16).
Close left side compartment (14), and lock latch (15).
Position side panel (13) in place, and install four bolts (12).
