Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the crosshead. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Grapple Crosshead - Remove and Install".
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the filler cap slowly in order to relieve pressure.

Attach a nylon lifting strap and a suitable lifting device to jib boom (3) .
Remove the bolt and retainer (2). Remove pin (1). Allow jib boom (3) to rotate to a neutral position.

Remove nut (4) .

Reinstall pin (1). Reinstall the bolt and retainer (2). Attach a nylon lifting strap and a suitable lifting device to pin (1) .
Remove the bolt, retainer (5), and pin (6). Remove jib boom (3). The approximate weight of the jib boom is 181 kg (400 lb).Installation Procedure

Install the bolt, retainer (5), and pin (6). Remove pin (1) .

Install nut (4) .
