Apply 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease or apply new hydraulic oil on the shims. Install the plug (137) with the shims in the sleeve (129). Tighten the plug to a torque of 59 10 N m (44 7 lb ft).
Use the same procedure to assemble the reverse sleeve.

Install the sleeve (129) in the body (124). Tighten the sleeve to a torque of 125 20 N m (92 15 lb ft).
Use the same procedure to install the reverse sleeve.

Install the steel ball (127) in the body (124).

Install plug (126) with the O-ring seal in body (124). Tighten the plug to a torque of 12 2 N m (9 1 lb ft).

Install piston (125) in the body (124). Note: Lubricate piston (125) with new hydraulic oil. Install the piston in the body with the threaded hole toward the outside. Use the original parts for the relief valve in order to maintain the relief pressure that was previously adjusted.

Install plug (122) with the O-ring seal in body (124). Tighten the plug to a torque of 100 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).

Install a spacer (9) on each shaft assembly.

Assemble gear assembly (8). Install gear (12) on shaft (13). Use Tooling (F) to install the retaining ring (11). Install ball (10) in the end of the shaft.

Install gear assembly (8) in the final drive. Note: Gears (7) have marks in order to indicate the position of the gears.
Install three gears (7) on the shaft assemblies with the marks, as shown. Use Tooling (F) to install three retaining rings (6).

Install O-ring seal (5) on the cover (4).

Use the alignment mark that was made on cover (4) during disassembly to put cover (4) in position in the final drive housing. The cover will only fit one way.
Install the ring that holds cover (4) in the final drive housing.
Fill the final drive and the travel motor with oil to the correct level. The capacity of the final drive and travel motor is 3.4 L (.9 US gal). Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the specific type of oil.
Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant on the level/fill plug, on the drain plug and on the oil level plug. Install the plugs and tighten the plugs to a torque of 39 15 N m (29 11 lb ft).
Install the sprocket on the final drive and the travel motor. The weight of the sprocket is approximately 23 kg (50 lb). Tighten the bolts that hold the sprocket to the final drive to a torque of 175 30 N m (130 22 lb ft). End By:
