ACTION REQUIRED
This Service Letter program only covers replacement of the 369-9655 Pump Group. If the troubleshooting requires the replacement of the 458-6023 Pump Head Group or the 369-9618 Swashplate Sensors, these are covered under separate Service Letter programs.
Pump Trouble Shooting Guidelines: Please take these steps when possible.
Prior to Step 1, and after each of the following steps, perform the pump calibration to verify if the calibration passes or fails.
1. Check the case drain filter for pump contamination.
- If brass material found, replace the 369-9655 Main Hydraulic Pump Group.
- If contamination is NOT found, proceed to the next step.
2. If only pump 1 or pump 2 is showing error codes, start with switching swashplate sensors P1 to P2 and P2 to P1.
- If the problem moves, replace with a new 369-9618 Swashplate Sensor.
- If the problem is on both P1 and P2, replace with new 369-9618 Swashplate Sensors.
3. If problem remains with the same pump, switch the head group from P1 to P2 and P2 to P1. Ensure that the lever from P1 stays with P1 and that the lever from P2 stays with P2. The levers are different lengths. Inspect the levers for damage while out of the pump.
- If the problem moves, replace with a new 458-6023 Pump Head Group.
- If the problem is on both P1 and P2, replace with new 458-6023 Pump Head Group.
4. If problem is still there, replace the main pump with a new 369-9655 Main Hydraulic Pump Group.
Ensure that all safety information, warnings, and instructions are read and understood before any operation or any maintenance procedures are performed. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual "Safety Section".
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
Refer to the Operation and Maintenance manual, for your machine, in order to release system pressure.
Refer to UENR0163, Disassembly and Assembly, to replace the main hydraulic pump group.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Hold all 369-9655 Main Hydraulic Pumps for a Parts Return Request (PRR). A Parts Return Request (PRR) will be issued to you through the Send-It-Back process after the claim is submitted. Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip and include the closed work order paperwork.
