Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin. Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
1. Position a suitable container under the pump drive to contain oil for storage or disposal. Drain the oil from the pump drive. The capacity of the pump drive is 73 L (19 U.S. gal).
Located below the gate on the right side of the pump drive2. Disconnect pump drive temperature sensor wiring harness (1) at the electrical connection.
Located on the lower right of the pump drive3. Remove pump drive temperature sensor (3) and the O-ring seal from the pump drive (2). The following steps are for the installation of the sensor (pump drive temperature). Check all components for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Apply 1U-6396 O-ring Compound to all O-ring seals prior to installation, if applicable.4. Install pump drive pressure sensor (3) and the O-ring seal to pump drive (2). Tighten pump drive pressure sensor (3) to a torque of 20 3 N m (15 2 lb ft).5. Connect pump drive temperature sensor wiring harness (1) at the electrical connection.6. Refill the pump drive to the correct level with oil. The capacity of the pump drive is 73 L (19 U.S. gal).
