The 2933004/">293-3004 Actuator Cylinder Rod may contact a rib of the 327-3701 Guard when lowered to the lowest position on certain 836H Landfill Compactors. This may result in damage to the 2933004/">293-3004 Actuator Cylinder Rod.

The 2933004/">293-3004 Acuator Cylinder Rod mounts tabs on the 327-3701 Guard must be relocated. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure.

Rework Procedure

1. Carefully lower the 327-3701 Guard so the rib of the guard does not contact the 2933004/">293-3004 Actuator Cylinder Rod. Refer to the procedure in SEBU8481, Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Power Guard Control".
2. Secure the guard in place and disassemble the 2933004/">293-3004 Cylinder at the lower pin. Lower the guard all the way to the ground before further performing the Rework Procedure. Refer to RENR6356, Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankcase Guard (Rear) - Remove and Install".
3. Cut the cylinder mounting tabs from their current location.

4. Weld the mounting tabs to the new location. Refer to REHS1841, Special Instruction, "General Welding Procedures".
5. Replace the 2933004/">293-3004 Actuator Cylinder if damaged.
