Problem
Certain 9N1547 Bearings in parts stock with date codes of 7/90 or earlier may not have the recieved proper forming processes during manufacturing.
Action Required
Remove all 9N1547 Bearings from parts stock with package date codes of 7/90 or earlier. Bearings with package date codes of 8/90 or later should not be removed from parts stock.
Service Claim Allowances
Submit one claim for all 9N1547 Bearings removed from parts stock.
Parts Disposition
Any parts removed (with the exception of cores used for Caterpillar Remanufactured parts) can be rendered useless and scrapped immediately upon completion of the repair.
