Assembly Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Install the shaft (1) in the front idler. Remove any retaining rings (2) that are in the shaft's grooves (3) before you install the shaft.
Fill the front idlers with gear oil.

Heat the two bearing assemblies (4) to approximately 135°C (275°F). Install the two bearing assemblies on the shaft (1) .
Install the two retaining rings (2) on the shaft.

Install the two inner seals (5) .

Install the two outer seals (6) .

Install the left side and right side supports (7) .
Apply 4C-4032 Bearing Mount Compound to the two bolts (8). Install the two bolts (8) and the two washers. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 14 31 N m (10 23 lb ft).,, End By:
Install the front idler and the hydraulic track adjuster. Refer to Disassembly and AssemblyRENR2808, "Front Idler and Hydraulic Track Adjuster - Install".
Install the track. Refer to Disassembly and AssemblyRENR2808, "Track - Install".
